Living Light, Solar-Power House

System In Detail

Control System

Control systems can offer a simple and intuitive interface for homeowners to control and monitor various aspects of their homes from lighting, to the thermostat, to the whole house power consumption. With the ability to monitor their energy use, homeowners can make more informed energy conscious decisions on how to operate their homes, or let the system do it for them.

Ductless Mini-Split Pumps

Ductless mini-split heat pumps make good retrofit add-ons to homes seeking to reduce energy consumption. Flexible in size and less invasive than ducted systems, they are mounted on the wall and can be twice as efficient as traditional systems, offering large savings on your utility bill.

ERV

Ventilation is an important aspect of energy efficient, air tight homes, to provide fresh air and remove indoor pollutants, moisture, and odors. Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV) provide ventilation to the house while recovering energy, both sensible (temperature) and latent (moisture) in the exhaust air through an air to air heat exchanger. This reduces the demand on your heating and cooling system, which in turn saves energy.

Heat Pump Water Heater

Using that same technology that cools your house, a heat pump water heater can save you 60% on your water heating bill. They work by using electricity to move heat from one source to another instead of generating it internally.

PEX

PEX piping systems offer many advantages to traditional copper piping. The flexibility and ease of connections mean less install time. Additionally, the ability to utilize a “home run” piping system also means better flow control to your fixtures and easier servicing should a leak ever occur.
